Corrections

How we fix mistakes, and how to report one.

We correct in place, and we say so

When a page is wrong we fix the page and add a dated line saying what changed. We do not quietly edit a figure and leave the page looking as though it always said that.

Where an error changed the meaning of a recommendation, the note stays at the top of the page, not in a footer.

How to report one

Email editor@kanocryptong.com with the page and the problem.

Conditions that have merely changed since we checked are not errors — they are a re-check, and they go in the same queue.

Common questions

How do I report an error on a Kano Crypto page?

Send the page address and the exact sentence you believe is wrong through the contact form, and mark it as a correction. Include what you think the correct fact is and, if you can, where it comes from. The editorial team reviews it against our sourced facts before changing anything, so a claim is not edited just because it is disputed.

What happens after I flag a mistake?

We check the flagged sentence against the facts we hold, and if it is wrong we correct the text and note that it was changed. If the point is genuinely unverified or conflicting, we rewrite it to say what it depends on instead of asserting a number. We do not quietly delete a disputed claim without explanation.

Will you correct a leverage figure if I disagree with it?

Only if the figure is wrong against our sources. Our stated position is that maximum leverage in Nigeria is up to 1:200 via an offshore entity, while one review cited 1:30/1:20 caps, which is conflicting and not verified at review. We keep that conflict visible rather than picking whichever number a reader prefers.

Do you fix errors in the calculators too?

Yes. If a formula in the position size, pip value, margin, profit or pivot point calculator produces a wrong result for bitcoin (BTC/USD), report it with the inputs you used and the output you expected. Calculator errors are treated as content errors and are checked against the standard formulas before any change is made.

How do I know a page has been corrected?

Corrected pages carry a note that the text was amended, so you can see the change rather than wonder whether you misread it. We do not publish a date on every edit, because we cannot verify dates we were not given, but the correction itself is described. Substantive changes are explained in plain language.
